Austin Police Investigate Shooting Involving Crockett High Students Near Conans Pizza

Crockett High School Shooting AUSTIN, Texas — Law enforcement in Austin is investigating a shooting that occurred Monday afternoon near Conans Pizza South and the Cherry Creek Apartments in South Austin.

According to the Austin Police Department, one person was shot and injured outside the apartment complex following an altercation involving two teenagers who are believed to be students at Crockett High School. The injured individual was taken to a local hospital. Their condition has not yet been publicly released.

The shooting was reported in the area of West Stassney Lane and South Congress Avenue, prompting a heavy police presence. Officers secured the scene and spoke with witnesses as part of their investigation.

As of Monday evening, no suspect is in custody. Police have not released the identities of those involved and have not confirmed what led to the confrontation.
